Abstract:
:Problem-based learning is best described as a student-centered instructional method in which students are given a complex problem to solve that contains no definitive solution. The authors discuss a strategy using problem-based learning for teaching experienced nurses in their second semester of an MS with a major in nursing education program on how to learn the knowledge, skills, and attitudes of an academic clinical instructor. These problem-based scenarios may be adapted to teach nursing faculty, preceptors, students, or clinical educators.
