Avoiding student-faculty litigation.

Abstract:

:Nursing faculty have a duty to meet a standard of care to the patient and a standard of conduct to the student. Their double responsibility puts them at increased risk for potential lawsuits. The author presents an overview of the American legal system and discusses three areas of the law and its effect on the student-faculty relationship.
