Abstract:
:Pathophysiology is the study of deviation from normal physiology and the 70-kilogram white male that remains the standard by which all else is compared. As United States demographics shift, a new perspective is necessary to meet the needs of multicultural patients. This article describes how a multicultural perspective provides a new framework for teaching that both transforms course content and stimulates new teaching methodologies.
