Influence of some hydrodynamic factors of thrombus formation in microvessels.

Abstract:

:The effect of mean blood velocity on thrombus formation parameters was studied using mesenteric vessels of white rats. An advanced phenomenological theory, explaining the relationship between mean blood velocity and thrombus growth rate, is presented. The qualitative analysis of theoretical and experimental data have shown that the main observed features in thrombus formation can be described by the theory with two phenomenological parameters.
