Syngeneic sensitization of mouse lymphocytes on monolayers of thyroid epithelial cells. V. The primary syngeneic sensitization is under I-A subregion control.

Abstract:

:The genetic control of in vitro primary syngeneic sensitization on monolayers of thyroid epithelial cells was investigated both at the level of the responder lymphocytes and that of stimulator thyroid epithelial cells using congenic resistant strains of mice. It clearly appears that similar to the in vivo model of experimental autoimmune thyroiditis induced by thyroglobulin and complete Freund's adjuvant, the optimal stimulation is found when compatibility between thyroid epithelial cells and responder lymphocytes occurs at the I-A subregion.
