Conglutinin microtiter plate ELISA system for detecting circulating immune complexes.

Abstract:

:A new technique for a conglutinin ELISA using a microtiter plate has been developed for measuring circulating immune complexes. The sensitivity of our system ranges between 0.2 and 3.2 micrograms equivalents of aggregated human IgG. We have applied this system to 21 normal healthy controls and 80 neurological patients and have found high percentages of positivity in multiple sclerosis and amyotrophic lateral sclerosis.
