αβ T cell receptors come out swinging.

Abstract:

:It is unclear how an effective T cell repertoire is built from a limited array of T cell receptor (TCR) genes. In this issue of Immunity, Stadinski et al. (2011) demonstrate that TCR variable (V) α chains can indirectly affect Vβ-mediated recognition of the major histocompatibility complex (MHC) molecule.
