Purification of mammalian interferons on controlled pore glass (CPG) with modified surface.

Abstract:

:Spotted souslik's interferon beta (So IFN beta), bovine interferon beta (Bov IFN beta) and mouse IFN beta/a were purified on Controlled Pore Glass (CPG) using original CPG, not modified, and CPG with boron enriched surface. The surface boron atoms enrichment of CPG lead to higher selectivity of interferon binding and to increased interferon recovery. Further improvement of interferon beta affinity to CPG was obtained by rehydroxylation of boron enriched CPG surface.
