Erythromelalgia: case report and literature review.

Abstract:

:Erythromelalgia, known also as erythalgia and erythermalgia, is a rare condition causing redness and burning sensation in the extremities, usually the lower. It may be primary or idiopathic, or secondary in association with other diseases, usually myeloproliferative disorders. The present report describes a patient in whom the condition was associated with astrocytoma, after having been misdiagnosed. Because of its frequent association with posture, its differential diagnosis is important to physiatrists.
