Office bacteriology.

Abstract:

:Cultures of the urine, throat and genitalia account for 90 percent of the cultures performed in an outpatient setting. The presence of a urinary tract infection, Group A beta-hemolytic streptococci or Neisseria gonorrhoeae can be ascertained easily, quickly, accurately and inexpensively in an office laboratory. Only a modest investment and a small amount of space are necessary.
