Lymphogranuloma venereum presenting as superclavicular and inguinal lymphadenopathy.

Abstract:

:A 46-year-old woman developed a febrile illness characterized by supraclavicular and inguinal lymphadopathy. The diagnosis of lymphogranuloma venereum was made by a fourfold rise in complement fixing antibody titer. Treatment with tetracycline was successful. Lymphogranuloma venereum can yield protean manifestations, and should be considered in the differential diagnosis of patients with constitutional symptoms and lymphadenopathy at any site.
