Abstract：
:In recent years German authorities established a global budget for health care expenditures solely based on macroeconomic aspects. In the last year there have been attempts to define differentiated budgets for chronic diseases. These plans are mainly defined by quality aspects on the process level (creating networks) and under fiscal consideration (savings). Legal and economic consequences for rheumatologists in private practice are demonstrated.
