Abstract：
:The paper is concerned with the results of investigation of water-electrolyte equilibrium in 72 patients with liver cirrhosis. Regulatory disorder of the stability of volume of intravascular liquid was shown manifesting itself in a loss of ability to react by raising the natriuretic factor (NUF) production and enhancement of natriuresis in response an increase in liquid volume. A conclusion was made of decrease in NUF production playing a certain role in the genesis of sodium retention in patients with liver cirrhosis.
