Health related quality of life (HRQOL) in the elderly on renal replacement therapy.

Abstract:

:Various opinions have been presented about the influence of age on the health-related quality of life (HRQOL) of patients on renal replacement therapy (RRT). Some authors sustain that age worsens HRQOL, while others show the opposite. It has been seen that a psychological adjustment occurs with aging, even when chronic illness is also present. In addition, elderly patients appear to adapt better to RRT than younger ones.
