Characteristic cytologic findings of epithelioid hemangioendothelioma: A case report and review of literature.

Abstract:

:Epithelioid hemangioendothelioma is a rare vascular neoplasm of low-grade malignancy. We observed a case of epithelioid hemangioendothelioma arising in a cervical lymph node. Fine needle aspiration cytology showed several characteristic findings of epithelioid hemangioendothelioma, that is, nuclear inclusion bodies, nuclear grooves, and amorphous material, in addition to physaliform chromatin pattern of a new clue. By reviewing the reports, the prevalence of these is clarified. Complex appearance of these findings is useful in the diagnosis.
