Comparison radiographs in extremity injuries of childhood: current application in radiological practice.

Abstract:

:Comparison radiographs may be used to confirm subtle extremity fractures or dislocations in children. Some suggest that such views be routinely obtained. As determined by questionnaire, however, a clear majority (2:1) of pediatric radiologists do not currently utilize this procedure. Factors determining this are discussed.
