Measurement of cardiac output by thermodilution in pediatric patients.

Abstract:

:Thermodilution systems for the measurement of cardiac output constitute a reliable and relatively noninvasive method which is ideal for small patients, particularly infants and small children. Thermodilution is an important new advance in the monitoring of critically ill children in that it measures cardiac output directly.
