Abstract：
:The conception on fungal origin of sergentella-like elements in peripheral blood proposed by A. N. Dekhkan-Khodzhaeva et al. is discussed. According to the author, these elements are rather twisted coats of hemolyzed red cells. There is a close relationship between sergentellas and hemolysis activation in stress. It is suggested to count membranes of lyzed red cells in blood smears to rapidly diagnose latent hemolytic syndrome.
