Ear malformations. What a pediatrician can do to assist with auricular reconstruction.

Abstract:

:Auricular reconstruction of microtia is available and is extremely satisfying for the patient, family, and care givers. The patient can look forward to a realistic pinna. With current research activity, auricular reconstruction could evolve even further. The pediatrician is an extremely important member of this effort in providing valuable reassurance, direction, and surveillance for patients with these unusual auricular malformations.
