The multidimensional context of HIV/AIDS patient care.

Abstract:

:This article argues that enhancing efficacious social networks or developing new adaptive social ties for HIV-infected individuals without adequate social resources may enhance their adaptive response to the disease and its treatment. It further suggests that the success of an adaptive response to the disease may to some extent depend on the relationship between the patient and the healthcare provider(s).
