Abstract：
OBJECTIVE:To describe a case of vasitis nodosum causing spontaneous recanalization of the vas deferens. METHODS:Herein we describe a patient who had undergone vasectomy 9 years earlier. A nodule in the vas deferens arising from granulomatous reaction had progressed to vasitis nodosum, causing spontaneous recanalization of the vas deferens. RESULTS:Vasitis nodosum may be more frequent than it is considered to be although clinical problems rarely arise. CONCLUSION:Confusion may arise in distinguishing the histological features of vasitis nodosum from those of adenocarcinomatous neoplasia. Although rarely, its growth may cause recanalization of the vas deferens in vasectomized patients.
