An unusual case of preauricular swelling: a giant parotid sialocele.

Abstract:

:This case report documents one of the more unusual causes of a swelling in the preauricular region, a parotid sialocele. It illustrates the relationship of trauma to sialocele formation, while suggesting that most cases can be managed by a conservative regime. A suitable surgical solution is outlined for more persistent cases.
