The use of microcrystalline collagen in microsurgery and its effect on anastomotic patency.

Abstract:

:This study has demonstrated that microcrystalline collagen is useful for controlling hemorrhage from an area where microvascular anastomoses are being performed, and that microcrystalline collagen does not adversely affect patency rates of microvascular repairs even when applied directly to the anastomosis itself.
