Abstract：
:This study gives an outline of the regulation of the circulation. After describing the possible regulatory effects on the main functional units of the cardiovascular system, namely on the heart as a hemodynamic pump, on the tubing of the vascular system, and on the microcirculation, it makes a general survey of the neural, humoral and local control of cardiovascular function.
