Renal considerations in cardiovascular drug therapy.

Abstract:

:The increasing number of patients with both cardiac and renal disease makes it important for the clinician to bear in mind the effect of both renal failure and peritoneal or hemodialysis on the handling of drugs. Guidelines are available for specific medications; however, they must be used in the light of the patient's individual response and metabolism.
