Abstract:
:The Linn County Dental Health Center is an example of what appears to be a highly successful dental society access program. A target population, the children of the poor and working poor in Linn County, have an opportunity to enter a system of continuous dental care for the prevention and control of dental disease. This example of dental society and community involvement, in the form of the ADA's guidelines for establishment and management of such access programs, may provide an impetus for action by other concerned individuals and dental societies.
