Gastric carcinoma.

Abstract:

:This article considers the significance and role of classic barium radiology in the diagnosis of gastric carcinoma and correlates it with endoscopy and other diagnostic modalities. Technical considerations for demonstrating optimum radiographic images of gastric carcinoma in terms of location, control of lumen distention, and positional setting are presented next. Finally, representative radiographic images of various morphologic types of gastric carcinoma are described and presented.
