Inflammatory breast cancer.

Abstract:

:IBC is a rare clinical occurrence. Signs and symptoms include erythema and edema of the skin. Diagnosis is made by skin biopsy. Treatment for this aggressive form of breast cancer is multimodal, including chemotherapy, surgery, radiation therapy, and hormonal therapy. Advances in treatment continue to improve prognosis for this disease (Esteva & Hortobagyi, 1999).
