Comely Wenuhotep: computed tomography of an Egyptian mummy.

Abstract:

:Computed tomography circumvents many of the problems encountered in the traditional radiographic investigation of mummies. This case report demonstrates that CT provides an improved evaluation of mummification techniques and bony pathology as well as a better capability of characterizing preserved soft tissue.
