A false-negative LeVeen shunt study.

Abstract:

:Previous reports have indicated an accuracy of nearly 100% for LeVeen shunt studies. A case is presented that fulfills the criteria for proper function, but the LeVeen shunt tube was poorly functioning with its tip partially extravascular.
