Abstract：
:12 male rabbits were administered cyproterone acetate in a dose of 20 mg/kg every 24 hours for the course of 28 days. Typochemical investigations were then carried out on the relative contents of histone and DNA, using the cytophotometric method. The spermatozoid content of DNA was analyzed using the Feulgen staining method and the relative content of histone proteins by the Alfert and Geschwind staining method. Data obtained were analyzed using ZRA and a Zeiss computer. Results showed a significant decrease in the relative DNA concentration and of histones. These results were compared with reference control data and are discussed. It was thought that in the course of the passage of the spermatozoa through the hormonally prepared epididymis the cyproterone acetate induces changes in the spermatozoan biochemical process, which may have caused their lowered biological value.
