Abstract：
:The aim of the work was the analysis of prenatal care in the region of Tarnobrzeg during the period 1976-1997, which was based on the statistical materials of the provincial outpatient department of Mother and Child in Tarnobrzeg. It was indicated that measuring of value factors of prenatal care on the basis of pregnancy course charts was necessary. The improvement of prenatal care in 1976-1997 had influence on diminution of perinatal fetus and neonatal (newborn) mortality and on the number women's deaths in connexion with pregnancy, delivery and confinement.
