Long-term follow-up on the use of soft-tissue expansion for shoulder reconstruction.

Abstract:

:We report the long-term use of tissue expanders for the reconstruction of a shoulder mound. Following a total forequarter amputation for the management of a fibrosarcoma, the patient continues to enjoy the benefits of a soft-tissue expander reconstruction eight years after its initial insertion.
