Endoscopy of the cerebellopontine angle.

Abstract:

:Endoscopy of the pontine angle ("cisternoscopy") is a decisive diagnostic procedure in clarifying pathological processes in this region. Using a retrolabyrinthal approach through the mastoid bone, the endoscopes are inserted in the pontine angle for direct inspection. In the present study the method and the diagnostic results are described.
