Abstract：
:This study reports on follow-up controls of 53 children with fractures of the humerus near the elbow-joint. 31 children had supracondylar fractures, 11 condylar fractures and 11 other lesions of the lateral epicondylus. The examination was carried out with special attention to functional aspects. A new own method for measuring the flexion force of the elbow is described. Baumanns angle and the dia-epiphyseal angle were taken into consideration when examining the X ray pictures. We obtained the best results when treating supracondylar fractures by Baumann's extension method. All condylar fractures should be operated on. The follow-up results were also excellent in the operatively fixed fractures of the lateral epicondylus.
