Extruding pilomatricoma. Report of a case.

Abstract:

:A young girl presented with an inflammatory papule, located on the right cheek, from which granular calcific material extruded. Histopathologic examination revealed the lesion to be a pilomatricoma. This type of clinical presentation, although apparently not unique, has not previously been reported. Furthermore, histochemical staining revealed that calcification may be seen early in the life history of a pilomatrixoma.
