SCI论文语言润色：避免SCI论文语言冗长的技巧

　　大部分非英语母语的作者在写作SCI论文的过程中，都会犯语言冗长的毛病，造成论文篇幅过程，语言、语句不简练、通顺，影响到论文的投稿发表。本文在这里分享一些SCI论文语言润色技巧，教大家如何避免SCI论文语言冗长问题。

　　1、以“There is a previous study on...”、“It has been reported that...”或其他类似的句型开头的句子通常后面是加引用的文献，可以将短语删除，直接留下引用的文献。

　　例：It has been reported that the incidence of Alzheimers’s  disease increases with age (Rogue et al., 2004).

　　修改为：It has been reported that The incidence of Alzheimer’s disease increases with age (Rogue et al., 2004).

　　2、含有产品名称的句子可以将产品名放进括号里。

　　例：The samples were analyzed on the ABC spectrophotometer (Zhejiang Scientific, Zhejiang, China) to determine the xyz values.

　　修改为：The samples were analyzed on the ABC spectrophotometer to determine the xyz values(ABC spectrometer;Zhejiang Scientific, Zhejiang, China).

　　3、将动词名词化。

　　例：A diagnosis of cancer was made on the basis of the findings.

　　修改为：A diagnosis of cancer was diagnosed made on the basis of the findings.

　　4、在“结果”章节，可以直接把数据放进括号里。

　　例：The protein level was 5 mg in Group A, while it was 3 mg in Group B, the difference being statistically significant (p < 0.05).

　　修改为：The difference in the protein level was 5 mg in between Ggroups A and B, while it was 3 mg in Group B, the difference being was statistically significant (5 mg vs. 3 mg,p < 0.05).

　　5、删除一些对读者来说理所当然的基本信息。

　　例如你在写有关 AIDS 的研究论文，不要用像 AIDS is a life-threatening disease.(AIDS是种致命的疾病)这样的句子开头。

　　6、用简洁的表述替代典型的赘词。

　　例：A number of 替代 several、As a result 替代 therefore、On the other hand 替代 whereas。

　　7、在英文文法里，可以用“省略结构”免去在一个句子里重复出现的动词。

　　例：Group A was given cyclosporine, Group B was given FK506, and Group C was given chlorambucil.

　　修改为：Group A was given cyclosporine; Group B,was given FK506; and Group C,was given chlorambucil.

　　8、大部分像 MS Office 这样的软件将连字符号串联的字算成一个字，可以考虑多利用连字符。

　　例：After rehabilitation, the patients came to rely on themselves.

　　修改为：After rehabilitation, the patients became self-reliant to rely on themselves.

　　9、使用主动语态减少字数。

　　例：Written informed consent was given by all patients.

　　修改为：All patients gave  written informed consent was given by all patients. 

　　10、避免用 of 表示所有格。

　　例：Patients of Group 1 were followed up for 6 months, and those of Group 2, for 12 months.

　　修改为：Patients ofGroup 1 patients were followed up for 6 months,while and those of Group 2 patients were followed up,for 12 months.
