[A case of human brain infection caused by racemose cysticercus of parenchymal localization in Valdivia, Chile].

Abstract:

:A clinical case of cerebral infection by parenchymal racemose cysticercus, diagnosed by means of morphological characteristics in a patient of Valdivia city is described. The rare frequency of parenchymal location of racemose cysticercus as well as its differential diagnosis with other larval stages of cestodes that develop in the brain and its treatment are discussed.
