Abstract：
:At the Department of Head and Neck Surgery of the Postgraduate Medical University the authors surveyed the nutrition state of 20 patients with stage III-IV locally advanced pharyngolaryngeal tumours. The control data were provided by 20 patients with benign lesions. It can be established that among the hematological and biochemical tests the studies of the N-balance, the serum transferrin as well as the antropometric measurements are objective markers of the protein-calory malnutrition of the cancer patients. The authors emphasize, however, that the immunological investigations need further purification.
