Abstract:
:A young woman with varicella complicated by streptococcal cellulitis developed an intracerebral bleed in the absence of thrombocytopenia, serious coagulopathy, or a detectable vascular lesion. We postulate that during the acute infection with varicella, a cerebral endothelial lesion was produced which later caused the intracerebral bleed.
