Gastroesophageal reflux.

Abstract:

:Preview Although heartburn is the most common symptom of gastroesophageal reflux, many patients with reflux have other, more obscure manifestations. Recognition of all potential signs and symptoms of reflux is important for expeditious management. This article focuses on these atypical presentations and discusses how treatment can be tailored to the specific pathophysiologic mechanism involved.
