Characterization of the equatorial current of the lens.

Abstract:

:The vibrating probe detects and measures currents around cells and organs. With its use, it is possible to demonstrate strong outward potassium currents at the equator of the lens and strong inward sodium currents at the optical poles. The addition of microelectrodes to the system permits one to define the nature of these currents and to determine how they are modified by various perturbing influences.
