Meckel's diverticulum in a femoral hernia: a Littre's hernia.

Abstract:

:We have described a patient with strangulation of a Meckel's diverticulum in a femoral hernia. In the case of Littre's hernia, true diagnosis before surgical intervention is rare if not impossible. It is therefore important that the surgeon be well versed in the management of such cases, as well as in distinguishing a Littre's hernia from a Richter's hernia during the intraoperative period.
