Abstract：
:The aims are presented and the technical equipment and application of different contrast media (barium sulphate and gas) are discussed. The steps of examination are divided into 5 phases. Thus, each part of the stomach is shown both by extreme filling and relief technique and by double contrast. The advantages and disadvantages of this technique are discussed. It is important to point out that the advantages of the double-contrast method could be fully realised only by fluorography.
