Hypothyroidism with coexistent asthma: problems in management.

Abstract:

:This case study illustrates the relationship between hypothyroidism and bronchial asthma. As seen here, even slow and cautious restoration of the euthyroid state may lead to problems in the management of asthma. Thus routine or aggressive replacement therapy for thyroid hypofunction in the asthmatic population is not recommended.
