Extended transverse rectus abdominis musculocutaneous flap.

Abstract:

:The transverse rectus abdominis musculocutaneous flap is widely used for breast reconstruction, but it does not have a rich blood supply. A previous article described the inclusion of superficial epigastric vessels and superficial circumflex iliac vessels to "supercharge" the flap. Subsequent experience has shown that the external pudendal vessels also can be used for "supercharging."
