An infected congenital commissural lip fistula. Report of a case.

Abstract:

:A case of infected congenital commissural lip fistula is presented. It appeared as a cheek swelling associated with inflammation due to infection. This case was treated with antibiotics and surgical drainage through the fistula. Our experience suggests that the possibility of infection of the fistula should be considered particularly in cases involved with angular stomatitis and/or scratching injury close to the commissure of the lips.
